Sorry for not posting yesterday anything but i am back with delicious posts. Yes☺!!
So,. Today i am going to review Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 15.
I know you all have heard about it and even some may have tried and felt something [good or bad]. So, here the review.
Himalaya Sunscreen bottle |
What the product claims:
A double - action formulation that protects and nourishes. Breakthrough herbal extract Cinnabloc gives long-lasting protection from harmful UVA &UVB rays and prevents skin darkening.Aloe Vera moisturizes the skin, while Apple extract prevents skin cell degeneration and premature skin aging.
Ingredients: Alpinia Galanga,Aloe Vera,Hedychium spicatum,Seva.
Price : Rs.200 for 100 ml bottle.
Shelf life: 3 years.
Packaging: The packaging comes in shampoo bottle types. You need to turn the bottle upside down and press gently. Don't over press, then you may be worried that you wasted huge amounts of Sunscreen. The bottle is somewhat travel friendly as it is sleek and thin and small.
My experience:
I have combination skin.I bought this product keeping in mind that it is a herbal product. I loved himalayan face pack, so i bought this thinking it will also be so awful like the face packs.
It smells like a herbal ointment! I just hate the smell because it made me dizzy and the smell stayed for 1.5 hours When i went out in the Sun, ohw! the liquid started running out with the sweat and i can feel that i sweated more on that day! Even my Yardley fragrance went like nothing. It left a whitish cast on the forehead. It made me little greasy!. Moreover it is not effective on my skin in the terms of protecting me in the Sun. I don't know why i have picked this as it is just SPF 15. You can find this in a ordinary moisturizer or compacts.
It is not all worthy and there are many options in Sunscreen with high SPF in the same price amount. My friend who has oily skin told that she experienced like she have applied coconut oil in her face. It is totally not useful and effective for oily or combination skin.Even dry skin beauties may feel so sweaty and a little bit oily too.
It will be good for Winter or Rainy season considering the SPF amount. In Winter season, you will not experience anything sweaty or greasy!. I love this bottle to use on Rainy season. It just moisturize your skin lovingly because it contains aloe vera. And the important part is: It does what it claims on Winters.
So, I will quickly summarize this with Pros and Cons:
Pros:
♦ Stay for upto 5 hours on the skin.
♦ Suitable for extra dry skin
♦ Suitable be used on Winter/Rainy season
Cons:
♦ Little Greasy
♦ Sweaty
♦ Leaves a whitish cast on the skin
♦ Smell like medicinal ointment
♦ Low SPF
♦ Little pricy considering the SPF factor as well as all the Cons/Negatives
Will i repurchase:
No! Not in Summers but will buy in Winters again.
GGB Rating: 1.5/5 for Summers. 4/5 for Winter/Rainy season
i tried nd faced the same problem as i too have combination skin it feels like v had applied some oil due to whch complexion looks dull
ReplyDeleteYes, it would make your skin awfully greasy if you have combination or oily skin. Better try Neutrogena sunscreen
